LLELA Stars on the Prairie

The Lewisville Lake Environmental Learning Center is open to the public each day from around 7am to 7pm.  These times change according to season.

In general, there are two night events held at LLELA.

The first is a monthly Night hike which lasts for two hours on a weekend near the full moon.  I generally serve as one of the leaders on this hike.  For detailed information, dates and signup, see

Stars on the Prairie which is a naked eye astronomy related event held approximately once a month near the new moon or when the moon is not fully up.  I serve as the host for this event.

Registration is required for both – please see the LLELA Calendar for actual dates and links to specific information on both.
