Note: I have lost the original source figure but really need to do some research and redraw this in a more maintainable fashion. Since this diagram was originally developed in 1999, some of the organizations and committees shown have merged with others, changed their names or simply ceased to exist. In these cases, I have tried to redirect the links to the parent organization (if there is one) or some other relevant link. I have also provided alternate information that pops up if you hover over a link that provides some documentation of either what happened or at least the acronym or full committee name.

Further, although this edition is correct as far as it goes, some of the organizations that are shown without links now have them and there are new organizations/committees that simply don't show up on here. Although I did hack in RFID under ISO/JTC1 SC31, one major omission is the Pacific Area Standards Conference ( PASC ) - a regional organization representing the Pacific Rim countries.

Thanks to Henk Dannenberg of the Netherlands for alerting me to a few omissions and discrepencies.
