Many photos and movies embedded in the linked PDF There was no birdcam in the box this year and all photos and videos were made by opening the box every day or so and taking a quick short or movie with an iPhone or 35mm Camera. At the end of this season, I installed a
NestCam in the nest box for 24/7 monitoring next year.

leading up to the 1st failed nesting attempt. 5 eggs were laid but none of them were fertile and were removed after ~40 days.

20 videos of the short courting period and events leading up
to the 2nd failed nesting attempt. There were 4 eggs this time and, again, none of them were fertile.
- 2021 Screech Owls in Suburbia - Failed Nest
There were very few videos/photos taken this year since
no eggs were laid in the box and birds left for another nest somewhere after the brief courtship. The male made a last brief appearance in late spring.
- 2022 Screech Owls in Suburbia - 3 chicks
After two years of failed nesting attempts,
this year produced 3 chicks - all of whom fledged. There are 27 videos of the courtship, egg laying, brooding, hatching and raising of the chicks.
- 2023 Screech Owls in Suburbia - 5 eggs, 5 chicks
